Charity performance for Multiple Sclerosis

Our friends at Argosy Players have asked us to join them on stage in a Sounds of the Decades concert in aid of Multiple Sclerosis, at the Winston Churchill Hall on the 13th May 2017.

We shall be singing a couple of our medleys and joining the rest of the company for the opening and closing numbers.

More details to follow.

Changed rehearsal venue for Friday 11th March

This Friday, 13th March, 2016, we are not rehearsing in our usual venue, Hesdin Hall – which is being used by the church for a quiz night.

Instead, we will be in the Coffee Lounge next door – the entrance is in the church Porch.

Usual time – 7:45 for an 8pm start.

See you all there.

Don’t forget – wear Red!

As previously announced, we’ll be raising funds for The Alzheimer’s Society at our rehearsal this week.

Wear something Red (or Pink) and please bring along something red for the raffle, or perhaps some home made cakes for the cake sale!

Valentine Charity Evening – Friday 11th February

In what has become an annual tradition, we will once more be using our rehearsal nearest St Valentine’s day to do some fundraising for an external charity.

This year, we have decided to support The Alzheimer’s Society, which has significance now for several company members.

The rehearsal is themed Red, so please wear something red or pink if you can, preferably somewhere that everyone can see it! Please also bring along something red for the raffle or, if that way inclined, bake some cakes for a cake sale.

Of course, we’ll still be rehearsing as usual that night, so bring along your dancing feet and clearest vocal chords too – plus plenty of cash, naturally!

See you there…

Christmas Show Dates announced!

Now that February has arrived, it is time to start thinking about Christmas!

Our show will be from the 7th to the 9th of December 2011, at the Fairlawn Hall in Southall.

Exact details of the show are still to be arranged, but we currently expect it to be an “adult pantomime” – probably suitable for children, but something fun for adults to enjoy too – with a Christmas theme.

More details closer to the time.

Waddesdon 2010 pictures

Another cold day, though no snow this time… The food fair was great and the mulled cider very interesting indeed!

We sang three times, and then had a look around the house, which had a Parisian theme this year.

It really set us up for christmas!

Christmas Party and Show

Our rehearsal on Friday 17th December has been converted into a concert and party evening. Food is being provided so just bring yourselves, your costume, your guests and of course a raffle prize.

The venue is our normal Friday night one at the Conservative Club in Southall.

Waddesdon Carols 2010

Were back again at Waddesdon this year for a day of carol singing, food fairs, and looking at the decorations in the house…

Were there on Saturday 11th December. See you there!

First gig at 12 midday so please be there in plenty of time…

Greenford High School Christmas evening

We’ve been asked to sing again for the Senior Citizens Christmas Party at Greenford High School on the 14th December.

Please be there by 5pm if you can make it. We’ll be singing a few carols and other Christmas songs for them.
