Rehearsals recommence for Remembrance Show

This Friday 17th August is the first rehearsal for our remembrance-themed show on November 9th and 10th.

On the 100th anniversary of the end of the end of the First World War, we want to show our gratitude to all those who have served their country, and remember all those who have died in war.

The show will have songs, poetry, letters from the front, perhaps some drama (details to be confirmed). Any choreography will be simple and optional!

The rehearsal starts at 19:45 at our usual venue, the Church of the Most Sacred Heart in Ruislip. If you’re interested, please see more information about joining us.

No rehearsals 7th and 14th April 2017

We will not be having a rehearsal this week, Friday 7th April 2017, nor next week (Good Friday) the 14th of April.

That means that our next rehearsal will be on Friday 21st April.

See you then. Happy Easter!

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Due to the expected noise level from the bar tonight, we will probably be rehearsing in the coffee lounge instead of the main hall tonight.

See you there!

Open Evening on 3rd March 2017

Over 30 people joined us last Friday for our Open Evening, and we sung through some of the music we’ll be singing on the Sounds of the Decades show in aid of Multiple Sclerosis.

It was great to meet and get to know a little about so many people, but the best part of the evening had to be the sound we made!

Showcase has always been known for its harmonies, but we turned it up a notch on the night. Tom (our MD) was in raptures!

I hope most of the people who joined us will come along to more rehearsals, and join us on the Winston Churchill Hall stage on the 13th of May.

Proposed show date: 23rd June 2017

We are planning to put together a Western-themed show with Barn Dance on the evening of Friday 23rd June 2017. More details to follow.

Charity performance for Multiple Sclerosis

Our friends at Argosy Players have asked us to join them on stage in a Sounds of the Decades concert in aid of Multiple Sclerosis, at the Winston Churchill Hall on the 13th May 2017.

We shall be singing a couple of our medleys and joining the rest of the company for the opening and closing numbers.

More details to follow.
